"It's Been a Long Time..."

Been awhile, friends!
I took a little break from trying to build new things to focus on catching up on orders and getting ready for my next round of stock. Some exciting things have happened!
One, the Oklahoma ABLE Tech group has purchased some of my controllers and devices to include in their Device Loaner Library. It's a program where you can check out equipment for six weeks to decide if it's right for you. If you like it, they'll connect you with the manufacturer so you buy the item directly. I build the shells in Oklahoma State University orange with my logo and the ABLE Tech logo on two sides. It adds a nice touch to things, I think!
Two, a guy by the name of Derek Dabkoski reached out and asked if I'd like to be interviewed for the documentary he's working on called "No Handicap." It focuses on gamers with disabilities and people that try to give everyone a seat at the proverbial gaming chair. We talked a bit and he'd like to show people my work area as an example that you don't have to have lodesmoneh to build accessible tech. I'm really excited to see where that goes!
Three, I'm working on something a little different. After sending one of The Vizsla to a guy in Canada, we got to talking about other input options. That inspired the desire to build myoelectric boards that will let people tighten muscles for inputs. You'd connect the sticky leads like you'd see in a hospital (three per function), then when you tighten, it will press a button. This will make WASD more viable for those with less-than-full levels of paralysis. The first set of boards I built didn't do much, other than make my arm sticky, but I have faith that the second round (which arrives today!) will be much better. Here's hoping!
As always, thank you so much to everyone that has continued to support the dream of bringing affordable, intuitive, and comfortable accessibility technology to more people. It's been a fun ride and we're just getting started! -VCRchitect
